Being injured at work can be a very stressful experience. Not only are you hurt, but often, you end up having to miss work because of it. Missing work can bring about additional stress, because of the loss of income, as well as the fact that you are left feeling unproductive. However, there are side jobs that you can get to make ends meet until you are able to go back to work and get that next paycheck. There are many freelance jobs that pay decent money that you can look into, depending on your particular skill set. There are seasonal jobs, such as positions in stores during the holidays and landscaping work in the spring and summer. However, if you have limited mobility, you should focus on finding the type of work that does not require a lot of movement, such as freelance graphic designing or writing if you have skills in those areas. There are many things that you can do to make money online, and you should look into the type of work that can allow you to make money using the skills that you have or can easily learn.

When you are staying at home and unable to work, you should be aware that the risk of mental issues is likely going to be elevated. Because you are not as busy, your mind has much more time to wander, which can more easily lead to anxiety and depression. This is not always the case, but it is good to be aware of the risk so that you can make sure that you take care of your mental health as much as possible. Try the best you can to keep yourself busy with constructive activities, so that you do not have time to focus on depression and anxiety. Instead of focusing on all of the negative aspects of your life and being out of work, you should do your best to make use of all of the time that you have to do things that are constructive and productive. This way, you can minimize the risk that depression and anxiety will take a hold of you while you have to be out of work.

As you can see, there are many things on which you can focus while you are out of work due to an injury. It can be very difficult to cope with the situation, but if you focus on being as mentally healthy as possible and doing many different constructive activities to fill your time while you are out of work, you will be much more likely to be able to keep yourself in good health physically and mentally until you have to go back to work.
